andrew all the lakes have pike in, but im lead to belive that pit 5 has more and bigger fish. as to the size there is always a big monster in all lakes acording to people you ask, but i have seen a pike which looked to be in the 20s on the split 4/5 bank. hope this helps. ps check there web site out for recent catches and tips www.a1pits.com

Hi Andrew.....
I visit A1 lakes pretty regularly through the winter for Pike. Pit 5 is by far the most prolific pike water on the site, I always tend to fish on the 4/5 split as fishy mentioned previous. There's a channel that runs virtually parallel to the bank not too far out (had lots or runs right in the top corner).
Biggest pike I've had was actually out of pit 6 last year at just over 19lb.....I have seen fish at least to this size in 5 though....some nice perch in their aswell!
Bonus is that you can also park your car right behind you on the 4/5 split....ideal for us lazy folk!
Not an easy venue though so don't be expecting run after run....but the potential for something memorable makes it worth the effort.
Good luck.....
Norbs....
