for a single overnight do this time of year you only need a cumfy chair either a bivvy or a very big brolly a warm blanket to put round you if you feel cold somthing to see with at night a head light is really good to keep hands free for baiting up in the dark. somthing to make a hot drink with so small stove kettle flask of water cuppa soups. water or pop for drinks during day. if you really fancy some grub then a beach BBQ like the ones Bigsi uses. chocolate for that all important sugar rush at three in the morning

If I remember rightly the plan is to travel down 14th July, fish all day and some of the night. Maybe sleep a little and finish up sometime on the 15th.
A few guys are fishing Lake 4 for dustbin lid sized Bream and I think some of us are gonna try Lake 5 for some decent Carp.

Post by Jay on Jun 27, 2006 13:35:39 GMT
Where do I start.
I think:
1 x Carp rod, 2 x Baitrunner reel 1 x feeder rod (Borrowed or bought depending if I can find one) 1 x float rod (maybe, unless advised to leave it at home) 1 x small reel tackle few tins of meat, sweetcorn and whatever else I'll need bait wise 1 x bivvy 1 x either airbed or chairbed 1 x sleeping bag 100 fags plenty of beer Sun tan lotion after sun sunglasses fishing mags Head torch
I'm gonna stop there as I'm already horrified by the list.

I would go with the air bed as it will pack away nicely and weigh a hell of a lot less than a bedchair!!!
