No, its less then that, its a 100 EARS away. Which if they are human ears thats only about 11.1 yards away. Of course if they are African Elephant ears thats much further away. ;D BOF

Hi,
Is the date defiantly Fri 14th July - Sat 15 July? And what is really needed for this jolly jaunt? As I am defiantly able to go, I will be travelling from Sheffield if anyone locally needs a lift.

;Dif you wish to use my tent you certainly can but it is a tad big but quite easy to put up and very comfy to sleep in.
Mr McSheffield i think Daz Carpy might need a lift if you are willing. as to what you will need well basically the biggest brolly you have a comfy seat with a back either glow sticks to stick on your rod or buzzers to register the bites at night, a blanket to keep your legs warm and perhaps a change of trousers and shirts if you get wet. a mug i'm sure there will be plenty of grub and stuff to go round food wise and tea and coffee wise ,though a couple of beers wouldn't do anyone anyharm lol. regards malc. oh and a bright light to rebait by at night.

Sorry to make the bait list longer but myself,Si and Lee have only ever caught on three baits at the A1 pits. Boilies , red maggot and more often than not , corn. If i was a bit strapped , a couple of bags of brown crumb and four tins of sweetcorn would do the job admirably. Nothing more sophisticated than a cage feeder and short hooklength are needed with maybe a Method feeder as a fall back tactic. Gary

Don't take more than a 25kg sack, and a dozen of Corn. 'cause its odds on that if you do, they will be having it away on caster, or maggots. BOF

I would check out their website and see what's been caught and what on as this will give a decent indication of what to take! ;D

iv ben on the web site and they are been caught on pop ups, but still need groundbait just how much? 25kg sounds a lot

Post by bigsi on Jun 15, 2006 20:14:20 GMT
I really dont think masses of groundbait is the way to go, I reckon 2-3kg is more than enough,
I firmly believe, its a slow build up of bait that is needed, dumping that much in would kill im sure of it
