10th September looks good for me. ;D I presume we will fish Saturday night through to Sunday. For all you experienced A1 Pitters. Assuming we do fish Saturday to Sunday, how much? When can we get on? When do we have to be off? Should be a top do!!! Anybody else up for it?

Hi bluey the place charges by how long you are there, its £5 per 12 hours for as many rods you licences will take, so 24hrs is £10, personally i would like to be there from Saturday mid morning through till Sunday morn, rather than Sat night to Sun night, only due to working monday.
Im passing this weekend gunna call in see if its poss to book?

;D lol @ Ozzi ;D It's looking good fellas, quite a posse building. Just hope we don't carry the YF match fishing curse with us. Mr Big Si, as event organiser, could you tell us how many we are now? Personally I will aim to arrive Saturday morning(ish) and fish through to Sunday morning. Any of you regulars got any tips as to what bait would be good to prepare for the expedition? Is the venue best fished using regular carp tactics? Any info appreciated.

lol ozzi, ill do my best for ya, Bluey jeeese man, wot u doing, can you edit that post and remove the word m@tch... everyone so you know if we blank its Blueys fault. Im not sure i can take the pressure of the title organiser, i dont want any come backs you know. I think weve got Andy Pecker Bluey Bigsi Ozzi MooMoo Pecker Nafangler +1 I plan to do the same as you, get there sat mid morn and leave sunday am just after a BBQ breakfast Tactics its hard one, carp tactics worked for me, Method with a boilie produced 4/5 screaming reels didnt get em all , but i still think the way forward is groundbait feeder and small hook 14ish and line (6lb ish max) and watch ure tip, Bait according to my sources, red maggot, but 2 grains of corn worked for Lee. Ive completely changed my mind on the wind direcition, it seems to make no difference at all There are 5 or 6 lakes i think, each getting bigger, according to the bailif and dogchub, the carpers moaned there were too many bream in pit 5, so they have all gone into pit 4 and thats the lake ive fished, there is a small lane between pit 4 and 5 and if some prefer there chances at the 30lb+ carp, then pit 5 would be your better option, i need to know if you wanna do this theres no point me trying to get a pit if some want pit 5. on pit 4 there are some pegs that are more single pegs, room for a big brolly and a pod, but some pegs are full on bivvie pegs. No matter where u fish on you can drive to your peg. Hope that helps, and we need to stop posting im getting giddy already hehe ;D Si

Just been to erics to relieve myself.....................of some money New rod, baitrunner reel, reclining chair and lots of bits and bobs but couldn't decide on whether to go for a small bivvy, the JRC oval brolly with side flaps or a just a huge brolly and in the end came away with none. This is dangerous as I will now need to go back Anyone have any recommendations for a good allrounder A HUGE thanks to the lads at erics (I think it was Tom - sorry forgot your name mate) but they spent ages with me getting everything out and then putting it away and then keeping the shop open until nearly 4:00pm until I left when they were suppose to close at 3:00pm. Thanks Lads. No doubt see you again soon. Also big thanks Martin for sorting out some great discount for site members.

Bivvy, well i saw a JRC brolly (not sures its the same one) at the wharem moomoo thing, terry had one, he had poles and it was up in a few minutes, very strudy material, however the lack of a front makes it summer/very early autumn thing, as there was no zip to buy a front for it.
I have a Nash Outlaw Hurricane and so far well pleased with it, take a little longer to put up and take down but we are only talking 5 mins, there are only 3 poles with it, you get a ground sheet, a zip off front so you can use just as a shetler, same as an oval brolly, got it for about £70, i do plan to buy the winter skin for it tho at £50ish, may be a little too late by then mate, but come saturday, you will see my nash, Andy's JRC and i think bluey has a JRC too and Think BOF has a oval brolly.

The JRC brolly looked favorite (as AH review on main site) but the lack of central pole means its more of a shelter than brolly you cant attach to a seat box. I think I want something to universal in use i.e. every possible occasion and not to be to heavy which is probably being daft (or tight : so I think perhaps a new brolly and bivvy may be on the Christmas list. For now though, I found a beach shelter in the garage with a zip up front and after testing in the garden for an hour last night noticed it was much warmer in than out so will bring as a back up if needed. Okay, its bright red and blue and probably (definitely) not waterproof but should certainly be fun trying and at least Chinese takeaway driver will find me easy enough ;D ;D

no joy on the booking im afraid, tried me bestest, but they just dont do bookings, so we may not be together, but the lakes are well connected and not far apart, so all i can say is get there as early as poss i would say so if you wanna be kinda together go for the rght bank of pit 3 or any on pit 4 or the left bank of pit 5 Si

Naf, have a look at the Preston 'Flat-back' brolly. Can be used as a normal brolly on a seatbox etc or simply change the position of the centre pole and :oVOILA , a 'mini shelter' ;D. Not the lightest brolly out there but totally waterproof and last for ages. Had mine about 5 years now and not a single leak or tear . Andy.
