Hi Richard O.T.F is situated in Graiseland ,North Lincs .Its easily accessible from Notts and South Yorks.Sorry dont know where you are based but from Bawtry its about 25 mins max.If you come past the golf course in Misterton from the Retford end its about 5 mins on the right hand side .Turn right just before the council houses. The fishery only opened this year to the public.its owned by a father and son Andy and Matt Barlow, they are nice people and Matt is a formidable angler who is never far away from the top spot in the opens. There is a good head of carp that run to about 7-8 lbs but will be bigger by the time you visit and lots of silvers ,(some cracking roach and chub). Telephone number is 01427 891678 .Give them a call for rules ,they are really helpfull people. hope this has helped in some way. Regards Leverton Owl.

Hi Richard pole at 5m will work all day ,margins fish well as does a line about 11-12m out on the bottom, then come shallow as the fish move up.Seem to remember matt taking 60lb up in the water during summer months. There is an island to throw a feeder to depending on where you draw. All the usual baits ,pellet, corn, choppy, maggot and paste work .Meat was banned this year but may be allowed next year so check .Recommend you fish a saturday open a bit nearer your visit to gain a better insight, good standard of angler attended and very freindly bunch of lads. Regards OWL

Hi lads, read post with interest and viewed what think is pond on google earth.Seems to be soon after warping drain on right..We have been to the area to fishriver Idle at Gate Inn and never knew it was there .Rung number but will have to call back as no reply. We have interest both as pleasure venue and poss' club match.looks quite new and poss' exposed to cold winds but very tidy .When make contact will have to see if it fishes for silvers in winter. If you have google earth Graizelhound,Haxey search should get you thereabouts. cheers.

Pleased you liked the satellite views Leverton Owl .Its a great tool for scanning the countryside, following rivers looking for access points or just getting some perspective on the size or layout of a venue. As you now know the software is FREE to download (just put search in for google earth if anyone else wishes to try it) and you can mark locations with placemarks to find easier second time around. Also for a bit of purposeful fun if you zoom in so the pond fills the screen looking straight down and use the "ruler" icon on the top taskbar thingy you can actually measure distances.I make it around 21m to the island from one of the pegs close to the car park for example, how true that it remains to be seen. I,m a bit of a wooden top on pc at times but have found the programme easy to use and much improved as lots of areas have been updated with fresh views from 2008.

hi hempmaster I would say you wont be far out at 21m .Peg 1 starts at the car park side and moves clockwise round the pond, pegs 12-18 fish well in the summer ,plus bonus of throwing to the island ,as you can see some pegs its a bit tight.I dont know where you are located but i had chance to go to Hallcroft this morning, everyone was catching so might be worth a look if you are local. I will sign off by wishing you and Richard a happy xmas and tight lines throughout 2009.
