Just thought I'd put a post up about this place. It's called Hunters Lodge Fishery in Elsham across the Humber. I recently went there for a 24 hour session and it's a great place. I ended up with six fish all together including my first 20! ;D It was 24lb on the dot and I was told is one of the biggest fish that has been caught in there! It's a five lake complex and the top lake is the specimen lake. It has fish to 30lb but it's only a small pond. It has an island and the pegs around there are probably the best pegs. Mainline Activ-8 caught all my fish and my friend had all his on Trigga boilies, including a 21lb mirror. It is only £8 to night fish and £5 for a day ticket. The owners are friendly and they do a breakfast service. It's a great place, give it a go!

It's a good little fishery But i'll tell you something for nothing, theres isn't a 30 in it and that 24 is one of a couple so your lucky because i've netted it with college. Most of the fish in the top pond are in the 7-15lb bracket with a handful of high doubles and a 'few' 20's....The 20's are just easy to catch thats all. My mate was there only had his rod in for 5mins and got a run off whats probably the same mirror you've caught. I like that place for the bottom pond because it is a cracking roach pool and it is rammed with them, Some real beauties too as we moved like 900lbs worth up to 2lbs out of the carp pond in to there along with a few big crucians too. It's day ticket astragaz a fiver i think. I think you can book pegs on the carp pond but go during the week as it gets crowded with annoying youngsters thinking they know it all. Dan

Think its been taken over by somebody new in the last few weeks.
Anyway, this is what it used to say on the Sports telegraf website about it. HUNTERS LODGE, ELSHAM: A complex of five ponds, three of which are ¾ acres, No1 is the main carp water holding fish to 30 lb. No2 holds carp to 19½ lb as well as silver fish. No 3 hold all species (except gudgeon and ruffe) including ide and barbel, No4 is ¼ acre with carp to 12 lb, plus tench roach, chub and bream. No5 is the smallest pond, holding carp to 6 lb plus silver fish. Night fishing allowed. Portaloo on site. Pizza delivery service in operation, Easy access and parking. Ken Steeper 01652 680691.
Directions, From Hull go over the Humber bridge and follow the A15 to the big roundabout were you join the M180, take the slip road for the little chef and carry on down,
From the M180, come off at barnetby top.(the slip road for the humber bridge road) and take the 3rd exit as if you were going into the petrol station, carry on past it and the road goes on for about 1/2 mile before going down a hill, at the bottom of the hill there is a junction go right at the junction then immediate left follow that road for about 200 yds and as the road bends round to the right the entrance to the pond is on your left next to a house.
