has anyone fished these lakes? spending a week at a friends van in october but he doesn't fish so cant tell me anything about it.

Can't give you much info about the fishing myself, but as they've been bombarding us with sales sheets trying to get us to buy a van there, we went for a walk round. It does look impressive and those fishing there that we spoke to said it was really good with mixed bags up to 100lb being caught. The big clearwater lake has some massive fish in apparently but thats the jet ski lake (you can fish it though). the smaller backwaters look a better bet . there's one called (i think) everglades, small islands, tree lined banks etc, a proper natural old lake. www.fishing7lakes.com/thefishing.html

cheers guys, not really carping just going for nice pleasure fishing, mixed bag o stuff, like the idea of natural lakes not carp puddles, make a nice change from the commercials we fish. theres always all the commercials around there too if we want to. Dean
