went to a holiday park in cornwall and had a good time sea fishing and coarse fishing , i caught plenty of carp on the ponds which was about 3/4 of an acre in size and there was a small bay where the bigger carp would go which was extremely weedy and about 1ft deep and very clear the other section of the pond was deeper with alot of weed in the margins and some lillies aswell .
because we would go to the village for the day , i could only fish short morning sessions (7-10 ) and evening sessions (7-10) so i couldn't fish the full day but could fish when the fish are in more of a feeding mood
i fished on corn, meat and bread (all cheap supermarket baits!!!) and some 4ml pellets for feeding i wished i would have remembered to bring some pepperami because that would have probably worked really well. over the 6 days fishing the first day i spent rudd fishing and got loads of rudd on corn. the next day i legered meat corn and bread in open water until i went down the edge just touch ledgering with some shot running on the line and managed 3 carp to 4lb .
the next day i used the same tactic and managed 3 carp the i moved pegs and got a nice 7 lb 9 oz mirror unfortunately i didn't have a camera with me for a pic.
the next day i went in the bay for some bigger fish and managed afew around 4lb on meat and bread but nowt big they would approach the bait and just swim away
the fifth day saw me catch loads of carp down the edge on meat, bread and corn and did get this nice 6lb+ ghost carp
later in the evning session i fished the bay and managed a 4 lb common and the biggest fish of the holiday this 8lb 7oz mirror sorry about the quality of the picture it was getting dark and the flash wasn't on.( it was only a cheap disposable camera )
i tried to edit the pic to make it more clear
the last day i got loads of carp in the morning in the deeper part but only managed a 4 lb common out of the bay in the evening
overall a nice little pond you can bag some small carp in the deeper part or stalk the larger carp in the shallow bay , or just spend the day bagging loads of rudd and roach.
