Hello all, i'm not usually one tho go sea fishing in the summer, however i would like to target a bass below bridlington (Fraisthorpe area). Could anyone please tell me what is the best weather, state of tide and bait to go for them. Cheers Dan

hi dan south shore at brid usually gets some bass in summer alot of people use rag and squid due to the amount of worm beds at brid as for weather and tides really depends some say nice sunny day with a decent wave on but sometimes get quite busy on them days other baits you could use are fresh crab or frozen depends how hungry they are

lol .... i know lol .... a four ounce led cast straight at em will mek em shift cheers anyway lads... will give it a go at some point... may have a dabble where south marine drive finishes

do many bass come out at brid ive had a weeks holiday there for the last 4/5yrs and ive never seen a bass let alone caught one. must say i usually fish to the north side of the harbour mark

Even though i'm the one askin for the info, I know they dont often get caught up there, they prefer the south bay.... try that side, people get them all the time apparantley.

i spend a lot of time fishing for bass from the yorkshire (holderness coast) the 2 biggest have been 8lb 6oz and 8lb 13oz, crab is the best bait by far at distance in the spring time. I return all as they are very slow growing fish tight lines FG
