;D if you are willing gents would you lend your support to this cause, by visiting thier website to sign the petition and would any of you like too take Phillip up on his kind invite for a carp do of some kind. Regards Malc Yet-Y-Gors Fishery « Message sent Yesterday at 2:07pm » www.yet-y-gors.co.uk/1392/frames.php-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Malc You may remember you paid us a visit last year and were trying to catch on of our grass carp, the largest last year was 28lb, so far this year we have seen a 16lb but it seems at the moment it's mostly commons and mirrors being caught. The reason for me contacting you is in relation to our intentions for the fishery, we wish to install 2 - 4 luxury log cabins on the site but the local planning department are holding us back. Our reasons for wanting the log cabins is to push the fishery as good carp waters and hopefully pull more fishermen from across the country into the area. We are starting a petition to show the planning department that with suitable accommodation more people would travel to the area could you help us with your support and maybe some of your colleges. I am also planning a 24hr Carp competition and wonder if you or your colleges would be interested in a trip to Pembrokeshire. Hi malc , i'm not sure if the log cabins will make any difference to it being a good carp fishery. Speaking as a carp angler the inclusion of log cabins on a water is irrelevent to me in looking for good fishing (in fact i would prefer them not to be there) as most carpers live in there bivvy for the duration. However if he is looking to make it into a holiday type venue then it obviously would help. I would be interested to hear how many other people have stayed in the log cabins before when carping to see wether it would be worth the expance of building them. Do you know why they have had permission denied. Sorry for sounding negative.

You are right Gazmc a few log cabins will not make it fish any better, but it does mean a group of lads or families can go too a lovely fishery too have a go at a number of different fishing styles and even venues with rivers sea and lakes for course game and sea fish all within easy reach. I'm not sure if you are familier with that part of the world but it can be a touch lets say damp and a bivvy can be a little uncomfortable in that sort of weather so a solid cabin with drying facilities would be great. I'm not sure why the planning permission was knocked back but i think it might have been because they are not sure it would bring in the tourists Phill and Carol are hoping for. I have fished here and the fish really are stonkers and the owners are trying very hard to make it a top fishery for all levels and for all styles so please if you can do lend your support , if not thanks for looking anyway. regards Malc.
