Ok all i've got a match on the bonsai lake in july, is it still pellet shallow or paste thats doing the damage at the moment.

Depends where you draw, preferably you want pegs in the mid-late 60s and early 70s's or possibly 30,31,32 and theres one or 2 pegs in the 40's (forgot which ones they are) that are the better pegs, dont bother too much with paste... try 4mm expander pellet shallow as far in as you can get the fish to feed, try those new skinz out for size and feed lots of groundbait (possibly throw in a few micros) regularly.... really regulary,like a bucket full of the stuff, if you're near an island the fish will most likely be there, what you need to do is try draw them away from there nearer to you, if you cant you cant but all helps when match fishing as you can catch more the nearer they are to you, hope this is of help.

Bonsai Lake on thursday last week was won with 178lb, 2nd was 139Ib, 3rd 119Ib and 4th was 102Ib, don't know from which pegs tho.

Cheers for the info, by feeding lots of groundbait, this will get the fish on the deck, is this where to catch them, or do you mean fish the same line both on the deck and shallow?
