Fished here this weekend. a very nice caravan park, 3 lakes.one silver pond,one match pond & one carp lake. only fished 2 of the lakes match lake holds a good head of carp 1lb to 10lb also tench not sure what size, the carp lake holds carp up to 20lb & tench to10lb plenty of silver fish. had 3 carp Saturday biggest 15lb. highly recommend no kids under 16 allowed in caravan site.

I fished here a few times last year .I took my caravan there for a week a couple of times in august 2008. There are 3 lakes the silver lake is fish one a chuck on maggot.The match lake fishes well any method but I fished it, on the pole.I fished it opposite the island it was 13 m Ifished to the island using sweetcorn.I was gettin carp one a chuck upto 5lb when it went quiet I fished my margin swim .With catmeat and got carp upto 8lb . You can use nets for 6 hrs then you avto empty them .I emptied my net and weighed in at 101lb fished the same lake the followin day and finisded with 78lb 10 oz on a very windy day ad to fish the margins all day fished catmeat and mussle they love these.On day 3 I fished day one peg again this time weighed in a pb of 114lb 8 oz I also fished on the pond at back of cafe for a few hour in the evening up in the water and ad carp to 11lb.We have booked a fortnight this year and we are going to have a few weekends aswell. If anyone gets the chance to fish this or take there caravan here well worth it. www.saltfleetbyfisheries.co.uk |
