Oosterpark

Well in the morning i am off fishing at a place called oosterpark. I would love to invite some of you but it would mean a 1 hours flight and 2 1/2 hours drive lol. The place is full of carp. It's not a day ticket place its open to anyone for free as long as you have a fishing lisence. Last time i was there i got 9 carp in a 10 hour session. But i was trying things out trying to workout what they like. And i have it figured the only problem is its full of carp between 2 - 8lbs there are some over 20lbs but it's very hard to get them on the line. But you never know tomorrow might be the day. I will take pictures of all fish i catch and place them here in this section so hopefully i dont shoot myself in the foot and blank. But that is highly unlikely. So hopefully i will be posting some nice carp pics here tomorrow night prob all small ones but hey thats fishing that the rough with the smooth.

Well as promised i am back to post the picture. I had a 10 hour session fishing and got 12 carp all small as you can see below. I have fished here about 10 times and only caught small carp and speaking to the locals everyone said there are no big carp. As you can guess i down sized all my gear 5lb line and a normal fishing rod. I baited up caught some small ones i was fishing with dog biscuit popup style. And to my amazement i had a ripper of a run i was playing the fishing for a while i got it to the surface once and found it was way over 20lbs. As the fish was tiring i got my net in the water i was just getting the fish over it to scoop up when it went on one last run and snapped my line . So i waited until my float came near the side and scooped it out it was near another guy who i have seen here several times so we had a chat he said there are about 30 carp over 20lbs in the pond as i had found out lol. On a more sad note there were 5 - 7 guys over the other side of the pond fishing they sounded russian they got about 20 carp between them they were keeping them in a keep net. Then all of a sudden they all left except 2 they pulled the keep net up full of carp and to my horror threw them into a plastic bag and ran to the car and sped off !!!!
