Does anybody have any infomation on this river. I know that Grantham AA has the rights.
Just wondering what species to what sizes plus any areas to fish.
Cheers
Snowy.

Visited the length of the upper Witham many years ago, just after the EA, (then the Water Authority), drainage boys had turned a wonderful, tree lined, fishery, chock full of features, into a 45 degree banked open drain, without a shred of vegetation. It was a scene of such vandalism that I hope I never see anything like it ever again. The good thing is that it was long enough ago for Nature to reclaim the banks, and for a few winter floods to scour the gravel bottom about a bit here and there. BOF

Snowy Don't know anything about the upper river myself, but i do know a certain well known specialist angler was targetting Chub there last winter, with some notable success. It would suggest that it is recovering from the days Bof talks about Kev

Kev, I have been informed of the same news by a southern friend who travels all the way from down south to fish the venue. States lovely an peaceful plus its full of surprises. Looks like I will have to do some more research. Snowy.
