can anyone offer any infomation on lake windermere i'm possibly going there on sunday for the pike fishing and would like to know how it fishes. here's a pic of lake windermere Spot 1 is where i had in mind with it been smaller water. Spot 2 is the second spot i had in mind due to the land actually spreading further out and hopefully there would be some pike about there. what do you guys think ? Dan.

Hi Dan,I have never fished up there but I have just read that 'The Pike fishing is superb with 30lb specimens caught regularly!'so you should have some good sport.Good luck & let us know how you do.PP.

sorry missed this post earlier how did you get on fished both these spots and not had much are useing a boat or from the bank

If I was going to fish Windermere for pike I would DEFINITELY use a boat and a fish finder, simple as that. Its such a massive sheet of water that you need to find the features to find the fish, it goes without saying that if you find the shoals of roach that are in there, the pike will be close by. Try this link - it makes interesting reading and will probably give you a better idea of where to fish.
