Press Manor Fishery The Return Visit. We arrived at 9.00 and there was not many people fishing so we almost had the pick of the place. We settled into pegs 12, 13, 14, 16 with plenty of large fish on the top one chap had just caught a 6.5lb carp of the top on dog biscuit, So Adam had it planned out for him, with a great big bag of dog biscuits under one arm! 10 minutes later we heard a shout “I’m in” and next thing we know he comes trotting along the bank with a 5.5 lb Mirror carp to show of! I was chucking a feeder out near a floating island getting a Skimmer/Bream a chuck, it seemed they like my groundbait mix. Adam changed to Feeder next as he had already run out of bait bands, next a nice Barbel, thanks to a kind loan of a feeder rod by MooMoo2. Then a rather nice Bream, Curtsey of MooMoo2’s loaned Rod . As the afternoon carried on we all had plenty of fish, a combination of Roach, Skimmers, Gudgeon, Rudd, It had all gone quiet for a while them we heard “Help” “I’ve got a bigun” And after 15 minutes Adam landed a nice 8.25lb Mirror Carp, his biggest ever fish! We finally left at 9pm after a really good days fishing, maybe it will be my turn next time to get a Bigun! Andrew

Thanks, this place really deserves a visit if you are in the area, looking for a quiet fishery at great value for money, with some big fish in there, you just have got to catch them!

HI Poleman, The place is just south of Chesterfield in Wingerworth. Here is there website with directions www.pressmanorfishery.inuk.comDepths range from 4ft to over 12ft, most baits work here, we mostly used sweetcorn & luncheon meat, and of course dog buscuits for the carp. £4 a day or £3 for kids. If you need anymore info drop me a pm. Andrew
