When I was first fishing about 15 years ago there was a fishery in sheepbridge alledgedly full of big carp (top end of chesterfield dronfield way) nobody I knew went there but everyone knew it. My mate thought it was a myth.
Yet yesterday somebody else mentioned it to me but didnt know details. Is there one there ?

Just seen this post- as a former Chesterfield native, yest there is a fishery at Sheepbridge, last I was living in the area it was still there at the back of Fusion Plastics on the Industrial estate and is right next to the little river that comes from Barlow (R.Whiting?). From bypass go up the Ind estate road with what was Merlin's garage on your right and Sheepbridge works on your left. Go right up and to the left is about all I remember but if you find the river, walk upstream and the ponds are on your right. There are 2 ponds, used to be on C'field AA book but when I last went up a Sheffield based syndicate had them. I never had much success there myself though....
