Hi all, currently I am on the site under the title of Wyatt . However older members will know me a Mick Hill. Along with Martin Wharam I ran the the site for a while. So why am I back. Well after getting topside of Prostate cancer I returned to the Bike for a while. I am now 82 and due to Carpul Tunnel syndrome and now Parkinsons I can not see me fishing again. So I have a boatload of tackle to give away. It struck me there will be someone who knows some youngster ot just someone who wants to fish but has not the where with all to set him or herself up. I am happy to give all my gear away all I need is for some one to collect itand give it to whoever needs it.
Wyatt....Stage name when I was in a Jazz Band.
Mick Hill.....
PS I am in no immediate danger from Parkinsons.

Like your attitude, mate. I am 81 and wondering what to do with 58 fishing rods, 17 reels etc. However, I still go fishing in the Whitsunday Region of Australia. Your thoughts on giving youngsters a 'leg up' with fishing gear is what I think I will do, as well Thank you. Cheers, Bobj.

Hi Warden, I still have all my fishing gear. It is in a locked container and I have yet to have a look at it to find out what state it is in. If the container is rodent proof then it should be OK The pole and rods are OK, if a little dated, The box is the newest item that cost £300+ a few years back. Whoever would like it can take the lot and what is not serviceable can be thrown away. To contact you on facebook will require me to get an account set up. I will do this if it is the only way we can contact each other.
Mick Hill.

Hi Warden and all on this post. I will attempt to set up a Facebook account but it might fail as somewhere in the dim and distant past I think I had one. \the details of which will have left my brain long ago. Also I think my wife may have a Facebook account in which case setting up another on the sane email address might be a no no. Still I can try.
Mick.
Update. I have created a Facebook account Warden and have accessed your Juniors Facebook page. How you access me via Facebook I have no idea but I am sure I am about to find out. Now we have the ball rolling I look forward to hearing from you. There is no time limit on when we find a suitable recipient for this tackle. In fact it can be split amongst the youngsters who need it. I will keep a watch on both sites as to developments.
Thanks again Warden for your interest in my proposal re the donation of my fishing gear.
Big smile Mick.

Yet another edit. I have just tried to log on to my account with Facebook to find they have thrown it out. Why? Something about breaching their standards. As all I have done is briefly looked at your site then edit what I had written on Yorkshire Fishing I am at a loss as to what is going on. So I suggest we contact each other via Yorkshire Fishing.
Not quite back to square one.

Hi, mick, technology is wonderful isn't it we can message each other via the Yorkshire fishing messages at the top right hand side of the page or via email I have sent you a message (2) they should show at the top of your screen.

sadly the site has all but gone (in terms of what it used to be) we have a facebook page that is active
Unfortunately every 'forum' I was on has gone the same way.
Dumping a decade of (searchable) good posts and information for 'facebook' just doesn't work. It's death for any forum.
I do hope that 'we' move back to a live forum scenario. Call me 'old fashioned' but FB just doesn't work as a 'platform' for what we need.
