Hi guys ,
Going to try fishing with paste for the first time, so wanted a bit of advice. I have been scouring the internet and looking at shop bought paste and home made paste. Is there any benefits to buying it or does home made work just as well. I will be fishing it on commercial fisheries.
Are there any recommendations to which ones to buy or recipes for home made.
cheers in advance.
Jonathan

I always make my own. Micro pellets soaked in water with chilli then left to soak then mash it up. Always done well on it. Cost 2pound for several paste fishing days

Swimstim green groundbait. Mix with water to make paste. Add some vegetable oil if you want it a bit softer.

I agree with Crofton Blade SwimStim Green is the one I use most. I also use Ringers, (and if I can get it - getting harder to find) Miracle Baits. if you want a fibre type paste (stringy and stays on better) buy a bag of Old Ghost Protein Binder and mix a bit in with your chosen base mixture.

Err, yes well !! I have a cup-like measure I got out of an empty container of Vanish stain remover. I find about 1/2 to 3/4 to be about right - but adjust as I go. I also use the cup to measure paste powder to water - if I'm not making up a full bag. I saw it at a demo when it came out and find it handy instead of buying ordinary and fibre paste.

I use micros same as pontylad but load it with fishmeal, my paste mix doesn't last on the hook for more than 3 or 4 minutes. I reckon that a quick brake down mix is better, I don't think any paste mix is wrong. I also feed nothing except the paste. Whatever your mix paste is brilliant.
