It is quite sad that forums slow down and sometimes disappear. One I was on in Australia had 28,000 members; it has died on www Another has 52,000 members.2 years ago, it would have about 100 contributing, but now, it would be a big day if 20 posted.
Now, if the wind drops, I might get to writing and posting a photo, or two, on here...
Cheers, Bobj.

You said that last year Kel and we've still got you lol! Surely you learn more on here than on Facebook? I suppose the Angling Info FB page teaches you how to bag up at Rustics though. Biggest thread used to be River Calder- nearly everyone that used to post is now on a group on Facebook.
We don't get many new thought provoking or contoversial threads on here these days though- some of the main lads were also banned (with good reason, might add).

Wife starts uni in September so if she at uni five days a week will mean she have to work for her dad on sat. So mean no more matches for me on sat. But if she only at uni for three or four days then it's fine will find out in sept lol

Its the posting side that has fallen off as said facebook has made a big impact on the forums mostly useless info and people falling out from what I have seen 113 Members,6 mods, and 415 visitors used the site in the lat 24 hours a lot of the visitors will be members who just don't log on,I have fished (other than matches) with many people I have met on this site and made many friendships and suspect will make many more,

You're right there Phil. I meet a fair number of anglers on the river bank who come up and introduce themselves because they know me from my photos on the forum, either holding big fish or big match weighings (I wish!) or even my falling in antics. Some have even said they read everything that I post. That amazed and scared me a bit to be honest but when I ask them what their user name is they often tell me the name but then say that they just read the posts but never post themselves.

For me its simply time..... Actually took me exactly 1 hour 46 mins to do my last blog update last Monday which is down to the speed of photobucket and this site aligning the pics and writing and then saving the info each time. Never used to take that long, and I'm not having a go its just far too time consuming, and for that reason my next blog update may sadly be my last as I just can't spare the time or face the the buffer spinning around for eternity any more ! However it has been fun !
