Anyone got any suggestions for the post Boxing day / pre New Years Eve period. Her Indors is really keen to get rid of me for at least 3 days during that time, but nearly everywhere I have tried to book on to has been shut or already booked up. Distance is not a big deal, but I do want a chance of a few runs, rather than just going camping. In the past its usually been whichever syndicate / season ticket water I have been a member of, but this year I fancy having Elmo's company, and I am not able to take guests on the Cheshire waters I have a ticket for. No I hadn't considered either of those venues, thanks Malc, and Nick, for the suggestions. However I have issues with Anglers Paradise, so that's out, but I will have a look at Millfield shortly. BOF

Seems that its likely to be Brazenose 1 or 2, or Oxlease lakes near Oxford if Elmo plan goes ok. These being one of the few places that are a) open, b) do not require a firm booking, (just in case the weather is rubbish and the place freezes over). Of course it doesn't harm the selection process either that these have very good stocks, so you have a good chance of a run or two a day. Ta for the suggestions folks, (both public and private). Every one was given a good look over at least once. BOF
