WEST HOUSE FISHING REPORT 08/09/14 Catches are still continuing to improve but catching in the middle of the hot bright days we have been experiencing have been a challenge, best times are early morning and evening.Dry flies and buzzers are proving the most productive method with a suspendor buzzer fished static in and breezy conditions has proved effective . There are signs that the fish are startingto take fry and as the water have a prolific fry population it may be worth experimenting with some fry patterns Free tea and coffee is now available from the lodge at West house for anglers The heaviest fish this week was caught by Nigel Mainskirk of Darlington, a rainbow of 9lb caught on a Cats Whisker. John Oram of Stockton caught on a combination of blob and diawl bachs a total of Rainbows.
