does any one know how to do it with out buying expensive seat boxes ?

What is it you currently sit on as it would help. I used to have the old plastic Shakespeare box ans simply screwed some plastic tubing to the back of it for the brollie spike to go down only problem was if i wasn't sat on the box the slightest breeze would turn the lot over LOL

I saw a similar accident happen with one of those Korum accessory chairs. A gust of wind struck the brolly just as he rose from his seat to adjust the angle of his keepnet. Before he could sit down again it tipped the lot into the water next to his swim, despite his best efforts. BOF

there heavy but the garden brolly holders work if you don't have far to walk or ok if use a trolly
