Hi Guys I am an almost complete newby to coarse fishing after first picking up a rod whilst paying my dad a visit at Redhouse Farm Fisheries near Grantham late last year. Caught a 8lb mirror and was hooked (pun intended) I have now started builing up a little bit of tackle and also got my boys wetting a line now and then! I've been fishing at Ladywood lakes, Ben Lee lakes and Birkwood Farm and have had some good days especially at Ladywood. Couple of weeks ago I bought the Wakefield AC book and have tried Healey Dam and Walkers Dam and struggled a bit on both (1 crucian on Walkers and 2 Bream at Healey). I Hope to pick up lots of tips from you all and any info on lakes around the West Yorkshire area would be Greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and tight lines.

Welcome DKT. You did well to catch anything at Healey Dam! Walkers is worth persevering with when it warms up a bit; you'll catch plenty on there.
