hello everyone I have just joined the forum and infact this is my first post. my name is Sam Hubbard and I am from Ripon in north Yorkshire. I am a coarse angler and a member of Ripon piscatorial angling club. I fish for every species depending on season although my particular passion is river fishing (especially the Yorkshire rivers). I don't fish out and out carp commercials and prefer to fish natural venues. (although I do enjoy fishing the brickyard fishery between Ripon and Thirsk in the summer for the Rudd and carp. My local river is the River Ure and is my usual haunt for grayling and chub. I am a big fan of following the "Mr Crabtree Style" angling year and fish the seasons accordingly I love to chat about fishing and am happy to pass on my knowledge to others and contribute to the forum.

Welcome to the site fella. I fished brickyards for a short session in the summer and it's somewhere I'd like to revisit in the future - looks like it has loads of potential.

But if you say this has bean resolved im shore we will try get there sometime in the near future Cheers Spooner its a lovely place with some stunning fish especially the ever rarer Rudd. if you want to see some of the better carp I had this summer than you can see some on these videos 1) www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1k6PtmeZ-0&list=PL2SS5pVR5-nx20l5NP9Qhg6uuB6ZrBojJ2) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dlz1xg76cb8&list=PL2SS5pVR5-nx20l5NP9Qhg6uuB6ZrBojJthese were just 2 of many doubles taken that summer and it is not otter fenced but the owner would take pretty prompt action I would imagine if they bothered him again cheers sam
