hi guys, my girlfriends parents live on the banks of the trent at burringham, does anyone know what the fishing is like around that area, tactics, price etc

It's very very tidal that far down. I've heard of people doing a bit of pioneering down there but it's certainly not fished much.
Depends on your style of fishing but there are plenty of other waters around there - River Torne, Keadby Canal and so on.

I think you will be very surprised what you catch, roach bream chub etc, but you have to give them time to find the bait. hardest bit is finding a safe place to fish from and beware of the tides

I'll be tying a rope around my waist and tying the other end onto their fence, I will be going around 6am and staying til around 5 so plenty of time to get the bait in. I think heavy feeder tactics are going to be the the tactics on the day.
