Hi guys
Just getting back into it after stopping 25 years ago, had been fancying it for a while and an opportunity came when we booked a family holiday to campsites with fishing onsite. So after a couple of moderately successful weeks spinning for Perch and small Pike in the Lakes and Scotland I was keen to give it a go when I got back to Sheffield. I've now been down to Barlow Lakes a couple of times and caught Roach and Skimmers which has been fun and a good reintroduction, now fancy giving Loxley a go soon and Damflask too later in the year.
Any advice for these places or alternatives to them around Sheffield is very welcome, things have moved on a lot since I were a youth, I've been feeling a right numpty asking some daft questions around Sheffield tackle shops but getting slowly up to speed.
Cheers All
Ian

Welcome to the site Ian, You will find a wealth of infomation on here if you have any questions ask away somebody will answer them. Always remember no fishing question is stupid no matter how trivial you think it is.

Buy second-hand gear, because a year down the line you'll be buying again. Welcome to the madhouse!
