Spoke to the one of the baliffs a few weeks ago when i was checking it out, a nice chap and very informative. Average fish is about 16-17lbs with a big head of 20s and a fair few 30s, best spots to fish are from the main wall or on the small peninsula to the left, or the double width wooden gangway on the right just after you walk through the sailing club. I cant comment on baits but when I walked down the length of the well every bloke (about 20 or so) were either playing a fish, unhooking one or returning one. I'm not even joking, all big chunks too. I'd get there early as possible, vans tend the queue up for when the gates open then it's a mad rush for the pegs that havent been occupied by guys doing an overnighter, bivvy city!
Hope that helps, some nice sized fish in there. Check out Boddington res and Clattercote res too!
