just had a nice afternoon session on the match lake, first visit and am very pleased with the setup Dave the owner is what I would call one of natures gentlemen extremely helpful friendly, both bailiffs the same, one I met only briefly when I arrived and the other one I spoke to at length later in the afternoon, he seemed more than pleased to share the ponds secrets with me, after he helped me land a 5lb ish tench that managed to wrap line and float around a couple of reeds and was stranded at an angle half in and half out of the water (saved me having to go in and release it, thanks for your help) all in all in four hours I had four tench 4/5lb ish one about 1.1/2lbs three roach all over a pound and a good few to 1/2 lb. all on maggot caster and paste and kept tipping a kinder cup of micro pellets and maggot/casters every put in the fishery is clean, well stocked, well looked after, easy to find all in all a very good place for a trip out luckily I'm near here on holiday 7 miles away and my dear lady wife has told me I can go again tomorrow subject to certain conditions, so as soon as I can get the marigolds off and the caravan hoovered and her breakfast made I'm off should be there by 6-30 (she only said make her breakfast didn't say owt about wakening her) o-a-ps Mon to thurs £5-00 there is also a very good web site and they are very helpful over the phone use poles bank. wroot in sat nav or Google it

Pleased to hear that this is still a well run fishery spdysnr. Haven't been down there for a few years and good to know that it hasn't gone downhill like a lot of places. Maybe a trip down there is on the cards in the near future

yeh went today 8-00 till one fished the specimen lake today the match lake yesterday caught about 100 so it seemed small Rudd/roach, about 6or7 to the pound every time the maggot/caster hit the water Dave the owner came around told me big baits work best on here so switched to 10 mm halibut hooker pellet and pellet feeder for the last 90 mins had a nice roach close on 2.lb and a couple of tench about the same and lucky last cast brought a bream about 4 maybe 5lbs.if I'm greedy was told luncheon meat is favourite on here but had a fried spam an egg sarnie for brekie so all gone but next time will be better prepared now I know the lie of the land all three ponds had about 20% capacity when I had a stroll around before I left anyone thinking of going you will enjoy if you know where lindholme is drive past an it's 3-4 miles on right there is a signboard at the end of the street p.s evidently I should have wakened the wife up p.p.s meant to add this earlier been hearing about a new fishery called Torne bank in north lincs tornebank fisherythink its about 3 years old but has all sorts of facilities showers/toilets,cook shack (warm your own)and an excellent disabled setup for you texting generation p.s stands for postscript ( addition after the letter)
