Never been on anything myself but love watching bob on the tv he seems a great bloke I'm sure you will learn loads from him

I had a day with Tommy Pickering at Lindholme last year which was fantastic. A real gent and very informative really enjoyed it. Like Darren says take pictures and don't be afraid to make some notes you really can't take in everything they tell you. When I got home I wrote up everything i had remembered from the day and still look back and find stuff I missed or have forgotten to use, especially if you don't fish every week like me.
