Anyone got ant recent info about The Nest in Winteringham?Hav'nt been for a few years.
Wondered if it was still open,used to have some decent days there.Cheers.

Went for a look last year, sadly from what I saw and a couple of South bank lads I know I will not be bothering going back.
I really loved fishing this place, we always used to be there on the 1st May when it opened and had some cracking days with big nets of Crucian carp on a 3m top pole section. Then it was waiting for the Carp to move in, get a double back to the Crucians and big Roach. Sadly it got neglected, the pegs became overgrown and reeds encroached down a big part of the far bank. Then a few years ago they had a big fish kill, lost all the Carp and from what I have been told its not been restocked or recovered.
As I say went for a look last year and all we saw were lots of small stuff, shame as I have lots of happy memories of this place.

That's sad like yourself I have lots of good memories of the place.cracking venue and got my 1st ever catfish there 20 years ago a staggering 2lb lol.its still my record actually after catching one about a pound at Barton broads a couple of years later.thanks for the reply.
