basically just go on a fishing trip
theyll supply the rods, usually 75lb tc boat rods, theyll also supply the big lures/flys and whatnot for the marlin
its exactly what were doing in mexico, go on a fishing trip its all sorted for you, just get recommendations off the hotel your stopping in

hi mate ,went jamaica 2 years ago.save your money fishing went out for the large stuff never held a rod just cruising with lures trailing behind boat if fish takes they strike and pass rod to you ,never had touch ,cost £70 each six of us ,dearist boat trip ive been on ,lol, caught more fish when was just snorkling over reefs, if you look on forums you will find boats that do fishing like we do back here not far out and they seem to catch plenty smaller stuff ,hope this helps ,ps ,you will get fed up of them all asking for tips ,if they say hello they want a doolar ian
