I few lads have asked for information about boat fishing trips out of Whitby, I have found a site with most of the boats on.

As finney says Stugeron helped. We went one day, got on the boat before the skipper arrived, after half an hour, still tied up at the quayside one of the lads threw up, dis-embarked and had to wait till we got back 10 hours later. Wish I could still go, but athritic hands make it an ordeal.

There is no point in making it an ordeal DaveMac, stay within your comfort zone. As for sea sickness, a couple of Sturgeron, or something similar, two hours before you cast off, and another tablet after 8 hours should see an adult ok. You may not be happy, especially at the start of the drift, but you should not be totally "cream crackered" either. But I have to admit I have grown out of it as well. Preferring to stay on land, and able to retire to the pub when I wish, rather than put up with the dictates of the Skipper and the tides. BOF
