fished mappleton last night, fished the tide all the way up, and two down, the only fish we had was one rockling, there was a hell of a lot of weed about that made the fishing awkward, oh, and by the way theres still a few crabs about.

There was some bass caught at Brid last weekend, I would use 2 or 3 hook flappers. ;D

Yeah was thinking of using 2 hook flappers but might make a few 3 hook up tommorrow night should increase my chances.
Is it worth taking lug worm or just squid and makeral (not sure how to spell it having a dumb day!)
Herb if you at brid look out for us we both got dark hair and will be fishing two rods each we both mid early twentys.

Looking at the tides, brid might be prefereable. get there midday saturday, buy some worms, fish over high tide and down a bit, get something to eat from a Cafe over low tide, then fish all night

I think it was the one with the crane on, I have been told near the café there is a sand bank that holds the bass but don't know how true it is. When I fish there I usually fish near the crane.

Well just got up after getting home at 7am from brid. Sure was a cold night!! just about de-frosted. I had 8 fish all night 3 flatties 1 rockling and 4 whiting only 3 of the whiting was worth the pot. Not the best night but still enjoyed it.

I've done the same Finny, don't think I have ever caught anything but eels & flatties from anywhere on the Humber (maybe I'm just !). Good job I like catching eels though, I've had some good ones out of the humber too!

Fished at Paull car park a few times, just caught eels ;D Must admit I used to enjoy fishing in Paull car park, sat in the car with the heater on watching the rod tip through the windscreen Much more enjoyable than some of the freezing Wintery nights I've spent on various other East coast beaches..... njc.
