Hi-brings back memories,if I can help at all please ask.
This river is a bit like our Ouse,but is generally easier due to the numbers fishing it-doesn't flood so much and is more accessible.
A river of many secrets,rumours and truths-I firmly believe that in the right circs and in the right place it can produce specimen fish across the board-with some homework,time and effort barbel and carp are there and at a size to grab the headlines!!
If you are heading South and plan fishing the Thames-will help if I can.
