This venue has just appeared on our bream fishing radar. I've looked at the Southport DAA web site and it says no groundbaiting. But feeders are allowed, does this include ground bait feeders ? Any further info on good areas and access points would be welcome.

Can't help with good areas really , its a huge sheet of water , you can definately use groundbait feeder & im sure you can sneak a few out in the pult . Its very rocky & very difficult along almost all the shoreline but if the levels are favourable & you can find a clear spot the rewards are there . There,s some huge slabs , big shoals of good size pristine roach , big perch & of course some big pike . The biggest problem is there,s no Day Tickets on the bank , you must purchase them beforehand which for me means a 40 mile round trip to Ted Carters in Preston the day before , & it is bailiffed regularly & they will ask you to leave .

Cheers thanks very much. Can you get tickets by post from Ted Carters ? It would save time & fuel. Will give them a ring & find out.
