Saddleworth Angling Society have had the fishing on Ogden for about 4/5 years, day tickets are £5 per rod and it has or did have a couple of bailiffs going round for day tickets.Has the usual drinking water rules,no groundbait unless in a feeder,no keepnets etc, field side is good as is the roadside bank opposite, used to be known for pike, very big perch as well as the bream and has had carp stocked as well as the natural head in there

God I haven't fished that place for almost 30 years, used to get plenty of pike out of there back in the 80's.

The one near to me in Saddleworth has some great fish in it. Some huge carp, which ive seen in the shallows, never caught one though! Roach and Bream are abundant, although the best pegs seem to be the furthest away, and the walk is miles!

The fishing is mainly feeder fishing for bream, with groundbait through the feeder only. The walks aren't that bad 15 mins max. It's £5/ rod/day & the bailiffs are regularly round at the weekend, but less so during the week. Pike are a problem especially on the dam wall, where as soon you set up they'll be there at you feet, up to about 12lb. Best I've heard is 29lb. It takes us 20mins to get there from Halifax. The carp fishing is patchy the best from what I've heard is 19lb and they're not that prolific.
