Not that expensive, 20-30 euros ? be honest i can't remember. However ,its the getting one thats more difficult, involves a trip to the local government office, and then the bank to buy. need your passport etc.
its a good reason for getting a guide for the day/week.they sort all that out for you in advance

Tomeluk is probably the best man to speak to on here. I know he fishes out in Gran Canaria regularly so he'll know all the ins and outs of licences/permits etc. Tyke

Now i have had a look, about 14-15 euros, juniors are cheaper , apparently you can now buy on line for some regions, others not. Andulacia requires you to take a test!! before letting you apply. which ever region you are visting, it seems good advice to tqke your EA licence, and if poss a local club book,[ to prove your competence] Gran Canaria, is slightly different after looking ,it appears probably easier. From experience, if you are going somewhere rural, take the questions ready ,written out in Spanish. my first attempt nearly ended in disaster. I just get a local guide to sort them now
