This is a lovely venue in a very tranquil setting within Staffordshire but close to Derbyshire and Cheshire - it's located in Swythamley nr Wincle (not far from Macclesfield/Congleton).
This is the perfect pool to take your kids too or a total beginner if you want them to catch -sometimes referred to locally as 'duffers' pool, you can't really fail to catch good carp.
I was fishing method, luncheon meat on the hair and had 25+ mirror and common carp out during the day - the majority of which were 5-6lb and in lovely condition. Depth is only about 3ft throughout despite it's 3 acre size.
When the sun is out it's the perfect pool for taking off the top, dog biscuits work well but bread is also killer, especially on the pegs close to the boat house.
It's a bit tricky to find, a sat nav won't take you to the door, but you can find instructions by googling.
It's £7 for the day, there are portaloo's on site, and it gets VERY busy, especially on a weekend. It opens at 6am.
I'd say pretty much all pegs catch but I fished towards the far end on the bank opposite to the woods underneath the few trees where the bigger fish were caught.

The owner is a nice bloke and keeps a check on any unruly kids who can get a bit noisy.
