Q. Where can I find out what fish have been stocked into the River Nidd (or any other Yorkshire river) over the last ten years? A. Hi musselman. To be able to answer this question for all the rivers in Yorkshire would take an awful lot of staff time, something we are very short of. I’ve been able to get you some information in the time I’ve had but it’s only for stockings in to the River Nidd since 2007. 2007 – 1800 brown trout 2008 – 5050 brown trout 2009 – 7020 brown trout 2010 – 5500 brown trout 2011 – 4400 brown trout, 170 chub and 73 barbel. The fish we stocked last year in Yorkshire and our proposed stockings for this year are listed in the last web chat at: yorksfishing.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ea240311&action=display&thread=19896Pete Turner

A. Hi Malc. We try and publicise all of our fish stockings and the press releases appear on our national web site and are sent to all of the local papers and the angling media. Whether they actually print the article is up to them though. I can’t speak for the rest of the country but we could certainly post our press releases relating to fish stocking on the forum if you want us to?

Pete Turner Pete that sounds brilliant i'm sure our river fishermen would appreciate that greatly thank you we have a river moderator who could do this or you could publish them yourselves when the new reiver season threads get launched and again thank you regards Malc.
