Right, got myself a tent to do some camping and looking for suggestions for some nice sites anywhere in the UK. We'll be taking my 7y/o daughter (who fishes a bit) so would ideally like some activities to keep her happy, play areas, swimming pool, entertainment, etc. Don't want to be slumming it in some farmers field (unless the fishing is THAT good!) so electric hook up's, clean toilets / showers, etc are a must. Any suggestions welcome

Any suggestions welcome You need to get hold of a back copy of the Caravan and Camping site handbook. I have a copy but how do I get it to you? I am in Wakefield. One problem you will come across is that because of the very high cost of accident insurance for children on campsites with deep water many sites in recent years have switched to adult only but there are still lots of sites around which are large enought to absorb the insurance costs.

Just done a little research on you Pastemaster and it looks like you live in Goole. We take the touring caravan over to Howden fairly often during the spring and summer and we shop at Tescos in Goole. I suppose I could take the site handbook into Direct Tackle in Goole and leave it there for you to collect. How does that sound to you? I could post on here or PM you when I have left it for pickup. It won`t be for the next 2 weeks as I am away on hols.

Cheers for that offer.... not sure I want to take you up on it as you've been investigating me mind! lol I actually split my time between Leeds & Goole but my daughter lives in Wakefield so I could collect from Wakefield if it's fairly local / on my travels if thats OK with you.
Will PM you some details and hopefully we can sort something out.
Had a quick look round last night (after our first trial run with the tent - it's HUGE!!!) and found a few that are of interest in the Cornwall area but looking to take it all over the UK so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Stayed at the Sherwood Forest Holiday park at the weekend, we'd booked a bit in advance as it was the start of the school holiday. Anyway the weather was fantastic, the campsite itself is superb the Fishery next door has a lake next door to the campsite with Carp, load of skimmer Bream, Ide and Roach in it + a few other lakes www.sherwoodfishery.co.uk/The%20Lakes.html . Big tackle shop in the nearby village, organised bike trails in Sherwood Forest a couple of miles away as well as other activities.

Have a look in the back of the Anglers Mail or Angling Times pastemaster, there's loads of sites in there with lakes and most have websites that you can have a browse through. Tyke
