I've read a few times that Wyreside produces some good tench.
I'm looking at spending easter weekend there after big tench and of course i'll happily take any carp that come along.
My question is which lake produces the most big tench?

Hi Mate You need to be on Fox`s Pond for the Tench. I fished waggler in front of a bush down the left hand straight stretch. Very close to the bush. They take some holding off from the snags and I lost the first 3 I hit before I got the hang of it and started striking in towards the bush. I caught tench to 7 lb on chopped pork and also on green swimstim paste. Lost 3 and 7 out in 6 hours during the day. Make sure you take some size 10 hooks as the site shop sells nothing smaller than 8s and it is barbed hooks only. It was up for sale so the rules may have changed if the ownership has changed so best to check. Minimum 15 lb line refers to the carp lakes.
