ive heard reports that the lake is full of weed and nobody looks after it if this is true then its shocking to think a 1s prime bream and tench water has gone down the drain i wish that some body would take it over and give its life back to what it was ,
the person who gave me this info had a walk around it the other day and said you cant even fish off the wall cause the weed is that bad .

i used to fish here for the tench and caught some realy nice fish it even has a few carp in it and i know there is a good head of pike in there too .

Me and a friend run langold lake fishing through the friends of langold country park group. weve been running the lake for a few years now and every year we are stocking the lake . early this year we stocked 3700 skimmers and around 1800 small carp. there will be another stocking in feb/march

we do have a weed problem which we tackle each year , there are matches run from feb- august each year depending on the weed situation , this year we had tench to 9lb ,bream to 8lb ,biggest carp this year was 17lb , lots of pike anglers fishing the wall each weekend, biggest up to yet 16lb

glad to know that somebody is doing something about it lets hope yu get control of the weed there as i know its a great place to fish for tench and pike are yu getting any more big carp to stock it to or just letting the small 1s grow

ps i dnt intend on pulling this place down as it can be a brilliant place to fish but the weed does put peeps off

at the moment we can only afford to stock the lake with small carp these were fish upto 1,1/2 lb , as the only money for restocking comes from the day tickets we sell , weve seen lots of carp dureing the summer spawning period rangeing well into the 20,s

the weed situation is getting better each year ,as 3 years ago the lake was solid with blanket weed and pond weed
we have been putting barley straw into the lake which as kept the lake clear of blanket weed , the only way we can reduce the pond weed is to increase the fish population

were hopeing that were going to be able to attract the anglers back who stoped comeing due to the bad weed problems

well i will be comeing to give it ago as i do like me carp which areas are best to fish for the carp and tench

best time to fish for the tench and carp is early spring before spawning starts as they seem to be concentrated around the island before they move up into the shallows to spawn

best pegs 39- 32 opposite the island or pegs 9 -12 side of the island , rest of year there spread out all over the lake, so become a little harder to catch in numbers

adult £4.20 , juniors £1.10
these prices will change in march 2011 as we have to keep the prices in line with the council prices

night fishing isn,t allowed unless by prior arrangement

seems good news comeing out and there has been some new tench put in as well i know this place used to be a realy good tench venue lets hope it gets back to wat it was or near to it

This is how I remember Langold about 30 years back. It's a bit different these days by all accounts, we're hoping to have a day or two here this year.

hi ...no there won,t be anymore fish stocked this year ....we will be stocking again next year around the same time with crucians/tench amount will depend on how much we have got in kitty
