went here today for a few hours and what a place it is we met tony the owner what a top bloke he gave us a big welcome and shown us around the lake water level was down but only by 1ft , there was a few lads there that have been doing a night session , me and gizy decided to get on top end of the lake near the Trent i had a small bollie on left hand rod and right hand rod decided to put a small lump of strawberry meat near island 2nd cast in and bang got into a nice lump but it ran into the reeds then came out and got snagged onto the Lilly pads that was it all i had after that was little knocks , gizzy had a run but lost that too , but we just went to see what it was like and i can tell you if you want big fish then go here but don't expect it to be easy they are wise fish , i recommend to any body to pay the place a visit you cant go wrong for £5 day ticket or spend the night there for £10 but you must let tony know when you want to go give him a few days notice , PS there is toilets on site and in village a pub and a shop so not far to go for the top ups
