I'm off for a few days holiday to Whitby soon. I will be staying close ot the river Esk about 2 miles in plan from Whitby and fancied taking along some tackle to wet a line. Unsure what tactics and bait though. Does anyone know what fish I could expect to catch or what tactics and bait would be best?
Thanks

Very fishy, nice and quiet, secluded, salmon and sea trout so I am told !!!!!!!!!! Never fished it but it looks good. Plenty of brownies too. Take your sea tackle too and have a trip wreck fishing on the Chieftain ex-naval vessel. Good cod, ling, coleys, mackeral !!!!!!!!!!!!!
