Yorkiman, they are ragworms that can give you a nip if you dont get hold of them right... and i said, no one using 'worm' (meaning any type) was catching. When i did start catching on them the other night, i caught on both lugs and rags. If i buy any worm, i get lug's anyway. I've never done any good on the rags really, apart from the odd occasion. Not to mention all worm has an annoying habit of departing the hook on the cast, if used on it's own. Tommy, i like squid heads of small calamari. The whiting like them...... (big whiting). There are 2lb+ whiting to be had off brid piers. But they're a rare commodity. By the way, i have been speaking to a few people and i've been reliably informed a few codling have been coming off

Fresh Lug often throws up the cod. I use rag more in the summer great bait on the brigg.

It's a big sea lad, just think back to when thi started river fishing, nobody said it was going to be easy, just keep trying and thi will learn, also check the phases of the moon and tides for the best times to fish.. p.s. stay home on Friday....

you dont want none of them rubbish boats in the harbour you want lizzard which launches from south shore. skipper dave is brillaint dad has being out a few times and always caught apart from when he went toping and he lost one but dave has tope records to over 60lb
