bas, steve, spudgun, howard, and boff, have gone to this fishery for a 5 day fishing break, ;D Hired the 10 acre lake to themselves from mon-friday, chasing 30lb pllus carp, I know they all arived safely not as early as they hoped, but they were stuck in a 20mile tailback due a car smash. they had a walk round and all decided on their pegs, and within the first few hrs of getting their rods in, steve caught his first a common weighing 25lb 4oz, his english pb caught bigger in france, so he's a happy camper, and then spugun caught a 20lb 3oz ghost carp a pb for him. bas, boff and howard had'nt caught when I spoke to bas, but that was about 7 last night, will know more later, ;D it was blowing a gale and the rain was coming down heavy, but with the 2 early catches they are all confidant they will catch more and maybe a few 30 plus. . if they don't they have a session booked on at drayton in july. anybody can catch there. ;D sue.xx

Sounds Good. Hope they don`t start spawning and spoil the lads fun. I would like some info on it and the local area when they get back, as we have booked the lake for 5 days in September (6 of us). We have agreed to only six anglers so before anybody asks, we are full, sorry. If it is any good in September I may rebook it for later in the month/early October if enough forum members show an interest.

I am sure boff will do a full report about their trip when he gets back, as I am only getting phone calls of a night from bas.

spoke to bas last night, and he's says they have all caught, but not many, they think the bad weather they have had may be something to do with it, gales and thunderstorms, but they did have a dry afternoon and early evening yesterday.!!!!

just done 4nights /5days at this venue, nice place, in the middle of nowhere ;D no phone reception, unless you went walkabout's, best signal by the toilets the lake is behind a big set of gates which are locked at all times, the bailiff nice guy Andy, lives in a caravan on site, bet he has a phone signal and TV. ;D the week was partially a wash out, mo.Tues, weds, rain gailforce winds, and a couple of thunder storms, so the idea of me catching a a new pb went with the rain down the drain, I only had 2 carp a 11lb and 7lb but Steve had 3 a 25lb 4oz, 16lb 7oz, and a baby at 2lb. ;D spud gun had 3 a new Pb of 20lb 3oz, 15lb plus and a 7lb, Howard (THE RIG MAN) had only the 1 at 15lb plus, if the weather hadn't been so bad I think we may have done better, but if fishing was easy we would have naught to shout about. I would go again but maybe later in the year say early September, the deal we got was a cracker, £500 for the exclusive use of the lake for 5 and £250 worth of cotwolds baits, ;D which we have brought some home and will have a go with down cellars ;D bas...................
