Now Chaps, hope the season has been a good one for you all. It’s come to that time of year again when the fair weather fisherman puts their tackle away and takes up shopping with the missus as a hobby…for those of you that would sooner be fishing then read on! ;D
I just though that some of you chaps may be interested in the opens we're running at Pool Bridge and the YF/YMA lads do have a good record on them.......well some do....some of you are rubbish.
Opens at Pool Bridge went well last year, hopefully this year they will be better than ever.
How it will work:
The first Open will be on Sunday the 2nd November and will run every Sunday until some time in March. (Weather, or at least Ice dependant)
The gates will open at 7.30 as usual and the draw is from 8am, the draw will take place in the café, just pick your peg, grab your Breakfast and you have until 10am to sort yourselves out when the match starts. The weigh in will be at 4pm and prizes given out in the café afterwards.
The Match will be 35 pegs on Horseshoe, the cost will be £15.
The rules are pretty simple:
No cat meat
No floating poles (Sorry Monkey )
No Floating Bait
Keepnets will be at your Pegs, do not use your own!
Please put your un-used bait in the bin provided. Do not throw it in.
Double figure fish are to be weighed and released. Scales provided around the Lake.
If you’re getting near to 80lb, get another net. If you weigh in with more than 80lb in your net your weight will not count.
All the other usual rules count
If you want any food brought to your peg at lunchtime, just book it when you pay for your ticket. I’ll pop my Pinny on and bring you nice and hot!
Booking was an issue last year with people booking and not turning up, so this year you can book and pay for the following week if you want to guarantee a place, if not just turn up, first come first served. If it becomes an issue with people not being able to get a peg then we’ll open Normans up as well for the matches.
Hopefully see you soon.
Cheers
Mike
