For some reason the carp aren't settling on the far bank shelf at the moment. Try fishing down the track about a foot away from the far shelf. Meat or pellets will catch you fish at the moment but keep the bait going in. To get them going I found that fishing two lines and always feeding the one that I wasn't fishing was the best way to keep them interested. Feed after every fish/bite and swap lines repeatedly. If you haven't had a bite after 5 minutes re-bait and swap over.
Good luck.

i'm using black hydro tight over and grey hydro down the middle or black again if i'm using paste, which is working on the 5-6m line at the moment, paste will get you the odd bonus lump so you need to step up on the elastic, pellet and meat over to the island but the carp arent really having it yet, start on that line then feed your paste line and margins for later on,i had about 25lb in the last hour last sunday on maple peg 46 on the corner.

Hi all,
Booked in for the match at the Oaks and bearing in mind its my 2nd ever match (1st being a memorial match for my great uncle at Hemsworth water park of which i drew the worst peg but ended up coming about 8th) what sort of water is it like. I have read the info n the venues area of the site which is helpful.
What sort of method produces (pole/feeder)?
Is the depth pretty uniform?
Any restrictions on baits/rigs etc?
Any help would be much appreciated as i am going to struggle to get up there for a practice!!!
