I'm after your opinion and i know most of you love to share it If i was to start open matches over winter (if!! ) what in your opinion would you restrict bait amounts to for a 5 hour match? What limits, if any would you put on feed bait etc. Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. Any hints or tips on how to help an open run smoothly as possible would also be appreciated, such as maximum limits to amounts held in keepnets, what size carp should be wieghed and released etc Cheers guys.

Not much need to set a bait limit for Winter matches to be fair. Anyone feeding loads in Winter is a dead cert to blow out njc.

Seen some serious amounts of bloodworm and joker go in on winter matches over the years, not much problem to the fish, but can price some anglers out of a match when it's a winning method. Rob

I agree with you njc. I dont see the point in having a limit on the quantity of bait in winter i dont use much at all........theres no need. I have won a few matches in winter with hookbait only as iam sure a few of you have.
